The City of Charlottetown will mark its 162nd birthday with Natal Day events taking place June 9 to 11. The public is invited to participate.

Natal Day is an annual celebration of the City of Charlottetown’s incorporation date in 1855. "We are excited to announce the activities planned to celebrate Natal Day during this monumental year," said Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee. "Victoria Park will definitely be the highlight of the weekend with the official opening of the newly completed Cultural Pavilion. We invite everyone to join us."

The unveiling of the Cultural Pavilion at Victoria Park will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. with entertainment by Lady Soul featuring Kelley Mooney. "Afternoon Fun in the Park" will also be held in beautiful Victoria Park on Sunday, June 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This family oriented event will have kiddie rides and inflatables, face painting and balloon twisting, along with complimentary refreshments and birthday cake. There will also be musical entertainment.

"Natal Day offers programming for all ages and we encourage residents to come celebrate our beautiful city with us," said Councillor Bob Doiron, chair of the Economic Development, Tourism, Arts and Culture committee. "All activities are free and open to the public."
