Scott MacDonald, author of the two books "Charlottetown: Then and Now" and "Prince Edward Island: Then and Now" has donated a 1955 photo to the City of Charlottetown’s archives.
This image is one of a number of photos being featured in the City’s latest exhibit, "National Treasures: Charlottetown’s National Historic Sites". The popup exhibit will appear in the windows of 233 Queen Street (or as it is known locally, the old Taweel’s Groceteria building) until the end of March.
The Planning and Heritage department is encouraging those with historic images of the City of Charlottetown in their collections to visit the Planning and Heritage office at 233 Queen Street. Heritage staff will scan submitted photos to preserve for generations to come.
